Bonjour! 

My name is Melissa Ryan and I am the founder of MelRyn Tutoring. With nearly a decade of experience in the private tutoring industry, speaking 5 languages on a native level, and publishing multiple educational workbooks- teaching and education is my true passion.

I grew up in Switzerland, and later on, I lived in France and Italy for some time. I eventually ended up in the United States of America. Here I found my husband with whom I share one son. 

I enjoy taking our son for walks, exploring new restaurants, and learning about the beauty of New Orleans.

I specialize in teaching French to students of all ages and levels. During the lessons students are given learning material from Swiss and French workbooks which promotes learning variety. While most American-French tutors and schools offer a small variety of exercises, I give my students numerous different exercises to promote knowledge and understanding.

I understand that every student is unique and has different learning needs. That's why I create customized learning plans that cater to each student's individual strengths and weaknesses. Tutoring lessons should not just be another "To-Do" on your list, they should give each student a feeling of accomplishment and confidence.
